2024-09-02BREAKING: remove `deno bundle` (#25339)Asher Gomez
`deno bundle` now produces: ``` error: ⚠️ `deno bundle` was removed in Deno 2. See the Deno 1.x to 2.x Migration Guide for migration instructions: https://docs.deno.com/runtime/manual/advanced/migrate_deprecations ``` `deno bundle --help` now produces: ``` ⚠️ `deno bundle` was removed in Deno 2. See the Deno 1.x to 2.x Migration Guide for migration instructions: https://docs.deno.com/runtime/manual/advanced/migrate_deprecations Usage: deno bundle [OPTIONS] Options: -q, --quiet Suppress diagnostic output --unstable Enable all unstable features and APIs. Instead of using this flag, consider enabling individual unstable features To view the list of individual unstable feature flags, run this command again with --help=unstable ```
2024-08-28test: Don't run unit tests with and without `DENO_FUTURE=1` (#25273)Bartek Iwańczuk
This is still flaky and won't be needed anyway once https://github.com/denoland/deno/pull/25213 lands.
2024-08-26Reland "test: run unit tests with DENO_FUTURE=1" (#25212)Bartek Iwańczuk
Reverted in https://github.com/denoland/deno/pull/25060
2024-08-15Revert "test: run unit tests with DENO_FUTURE=1 (#24400)" (#25060)Bartek Iwańczuk
This reverts commit 22a834ff5b4b312b8f91be8991f2b495d49fad2f. Appears this commit might have broken tests on `main`.
2024-08-14test: run unit tests with DENO_FUTURE=1 (#24400)Bartek Iwańczuk
This commit adds another test suite that runs all Deno unit tests with `DENO_FUTURE=1` flag to ensure all APIs are working as expected, once Deno 2 is released. --------- Co-authored-by: Divy Srivastava <dj.srivastava23@gmail.com>
2024-05-17feat(serve): support `--port 0` to use an open port (#23846)Satya Rohith
Closes https://github.com/denoland/deno/issues/23845
2024-05-08chore: enable clippy::print_stdout and clippy::print_stderr (#23732)David Sherret
1. Generally we should prefer to use the `log` crate. 2. I very often accidentally commit `eprintln`s. When we should use `println` or `eprintln`, it's not too bad to be a bit more verbose and ignore the lint rule.
2024-05-03chore: move cert itests to spec tests (#23607)David Sherret
2024-03-25chore(tests): Introduce integration tests for `jupyter` subcommand (#23074)Nathan Whitaker
Before this PR, we didn't have any integration tests set up for the `jupyter` subcommand. This PR adds a basic jupyter client and helpers for writing integration tests for the jupyter kernel. A lot of the code here is boilerplate, mainly around the message format for jupyter. This also adds a few basic integration tests, most notably for requesting execution of a snippet of code and getting the correct results.
2024-03-15chore: move more tests away from itest (#22909)David Sherret
Part of #22907
2024-02-29feat(unstable): `deno add` subcommand (#22520)Bartek Iwańczuk
This commit adds "deno add" subcommand that has a basic support for adding "jsr:" packages to "deno.json" file. This currently doesn't support "npm:" specifiers and specifying version constraints.
2024-02-12chore: continue tests/ re-org (#22396)Matt Mastracci
Split `node_compat_tests` into its own top-level test so its stdout doesn't stomp on the remainder of the tests.
2024-02-10chore: move cli/tests/ -> tests/ (#22369)Matt Mastracci
This looks like a massive PR, but it's only a move from cli/tests -> tests, and updates of relative paths for files. This is the first step towards aggregate all of the integration test files under tests/, which will lead to a set of integration tests that can run without the CLI binary being built. While we could leave these tests under `cli`, it would require us to keep a more complex directory structure for the various test runners. In addition, we have a lot of complexity to ignore various test files in the `cli` project itself (cargo publish exclusion rules, autotests = false, etc). And finally, the `tests/` folder will eventually house the `test_ffi`, `test_napi` and other testing code, reducing the size of the root repo directory. For easier review, the extremely large and noisy "move" is in the first commit (with no changes -- just a move), while the remainder of the changes to actual files is in the second commit.
