Renames `op_fs_fstat_{sync/async}` to `op_fs_file_stat_{async/sync}` in
preparation of the upcoming removal of `Deno.fstat()` in v2.

This update brings number of ops available to user code down to 45.
|
|
(#22235)
Closes #22178.
|
|
Follow up to #22157.
This leaves us with 4 usages of `ensureFastOps()` in `deno` itself.
There's also about 150 usages of `Deno.core.ops.<op_name>` left as well.
|
|
First pass of migrating away from `Deno.core.ensureFastOps()`.
A few "tricky" ones have been left for a follow up.
|
|
Now these props will not show up when inspecting objects in console.

This change:
1. Implements `Deno.FsFile.sync()` and `Deno.FsFile.syncSync()`.
2. Deprecates `Deno.fsync()` and `Deno.fsyncSync()` for removal in Deno
v2, in favour of the above corresponding methods.

Deno v1.39 introduces `vm.runInNewContext`. This may cause problems when
using `Object.prototype.isPrototypeOf` to check built-in types.
```js
import vm from "node:vm";
const err = new Error();
const crossErr = vm.runInNewContext(`new Error()`);
console.assert( !(crossErr instanceof Error) );
console.assert( Object.getPrototypeOf(err) !== Object.getPrototypeOf(crossErr) );
```
This PR changes to check using internal slots solves them.
---
current:
```
> import vm from "node:vm";
undefined
> vm.runInNewContext(`new Error("message")`)
Error {}
> vm.runInNewContext(`new Date("2018-12-10T02:26:59.002Z")`)
Date {}
```
this PR:
```
> import vm from "node:vm";
undefined
> vm.runInNewContext(`new Error("message")`)
Error: message
at <anonymous>:1:1
> vm.runInNewContext(`new Date("2018-12-10T02:26:59.002Z")`)
2018-12-10T02:26:59.002Z
`opAsync` requires a lookup by name on each async call. This is a
mechanical translation of all opAsync calls to ensureFastOps.
The `opAsync` API on Deno.core will be removed at a later time.
|
|
This commit refactors how we access "core", "internals" and
"primordials" objects coming from `deno_core`, in our internal JavaScript code.
Instead of capturing them from "globalThis.__bootstrap" namespace, we
import them from recently added "ext:core/mod.js" file.
|
|
This commit implements Symbol.dispose and Symbol.asyncDispose for
the relevant resources.
This fixes a bug in file metadata parsing logic, which now properly
evaluates boolean fields when forwarding for atime / mtime / birthtime
values.
`isFile`, `isDirectory`, `isSymlink` are defined in `Deno.FileInfo`, but
`isBlockDevice`, `isCharacterDevice`, `isFIFO`, `isSocket` are not
defined.
Migrates some of existing async ops to generated wrappers introduced in
https://github.com/denoland/deno/pull/18887. As a result "core.opAsync2"
was removed.
I will follow up with more PRs that migrate all the async ops to
generated wrappers.
This commit abstracts out the specifics of the underlying system calls
FS operations behind a new `FileSystem` and `File` trait in the
`ext/fs` extension.
This allows other embedders to re-use ext/fs, but substituting in a
different FS backend.
This is likely not the final form of these traits. Eventually they will
be entirely `deno_core::Resource` agnostic, and will live in a seperate
crate.
Closes #17709
|
|
This commit adds a new core API `opAsync2` to call an async op with
atmost 2 arguments. Spread argument iterators has a pretty big perf hit
when calling ops.
Addresses feedback from
https://github.com/denoland/deno/pull/18073#issuecomment-1471480385.
Reverts changes to `FileInfo` fields that are not available on Windows
making them `null`. Only `FileInfo.dev` is non-null.
|
|
This commit adds support for retrieving `dev` information
when stating files on Windows.
Additionally `Deno.FileInfo` interfaces was changed to always
return 0 for fields that we don't retrieve information for on Windows.
for snapshotted modules (#18041)
This commit renames "deno_core::InternalModuleLoader" to
"ExtModuleLoader" and changes the specifiers used by the
modules loaded from this loader to "ext:".
"internal:" scheme was really ambiguous and it's more characters than
"ext:", which should result in slightly smaller snapshot size.
Closes https://github.com/denoland/deno/issues/18020
|
|
This commit factors out APIs related to file system from "runtime/"
to a separate "deno_fs" extension crate.
